In the growing Industrial culture, the environment sustainability becomes a crucial area of interest for all. Rather than it, being a sole responsibility of environmentalists, we are focussing on breaking down the steps of becoming eco-friendly and make a sustainable living for local people who doesn’t have an environmental background but aspire to contribute to the Nature!

Guest Speakers:

1. Mrs. Rani Sahay, Founder of Peepal, the Resilience Lab

Mrs. Rani Sahay is an environmentalist, famously known for her work on Champa River, bringing back the beauty she saw during her childhood.

She has been a speaker at TEDx, 2019, held in Kassel, Germany, representing her work on river Champa.
She has been a Senior Research Officer from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) India and is currently working as a DRR Governance Consultant under UNICEF India.

2. Ms. Mahiya Kulsoom

Mahiya is a plant mother pursuing her Doctorate degree in Environmental Science focusing on Groundwater Geogenic Contamination and its possible easy-to-use, eco-friendly, locally available solutions. She believes in creating her own green space and living in balance with nature, thus adopting minimalistic and sustainable living practices everywhere she goes.

Workshop Schedule

Day 1

Session 1 (11:00 am to 01:00 pm): Demonstrative Lecture on Natural Cleaners by Mrs. Rani Sahay

Get rid of toxic detergents and chemical based home cleaners. Presenting “Bio-Enzyme” as a substitute of home cleaners. Although the word Bio-Enzyme sounds a bit scientific and uneasy but the making of it is simple and cost free. The Bio-Enzyme can be used to clean floors, kitchen surfaces, tiles and washrooms. Using this Natural Cleaner, you will not only save a lot of money which you spend in buying detergents but you will also make your cleaning chemical free. So, Let’s Naturally Clean!

Session 2 (04:00 pm to 06:00 pm): Demonstration on Natural Soaps by Mrs. Rani Sahay

Description: Natural Soaps are chemical free soaps which contains ingredients, completely derived from natural resources and not from any chemical lab. In the peak of climate change, we are completely indulged into chemical products which has long term harmful effects.
Natural soaps are effective and lifts bacteria and microbes from the skin. Using Natural Soaps will not only contribute to saving nature by decreasing use of chemicals but will also bring eco-friendly skin care in your lifestyle. Be skin conscious now without even buying any expensive eco-friendly cosmetics!!

Day 2

Session 1 (11:00 am to 01:00 pm): Demonstrative lecture on composting by Mrs. Rani Sahay

Did you know food scraps and yard wastes together takes up 30 percent of what we throw away every day?
This amount of green waste can be utilized in making compost. “Compost” is an organic material used to help plants grow by adding it into the soil. Making compost recycles the green waste and reduces methane emissions from landfills, lowering your carbon footprint. Let’s us go green by recycling green!

Session 2 (12:00 pm to 01:00 pm): Winners’ announcement of Contests

Session 1 (4:00 pm to 06:00 pm): Top 10 eco-friendly methods at home by Ms. Mahiya Kulsoom
