Core Asana
CORE ASANA
Yoga originated in India, and has been taken and adopted by the west as well. Core Asana started with the idea of bringing a movement based, fresh mindset of yoga back to India and making it a worldwide sensation.
The joy in the eyes of those who have experienced the rewards of practicing yoga and our desire to do something good for mankind and nature while being fashionable, led to Core Asana. Core Asana blends functionality with style to bring a sublime range of products to help you put your fashion foot forward while uplifting your spirituality.
After 8 months of R&D and product testing, we launched Core Asana in December 2021. Since then, we’ve been having a global impact.
Core Values
Mindfulness
We strongly believe that Yoga is not only a posture or an asana but it is a more rewarding way of leading life. Yoga helps you strike a balance between all the elements of your life along with the surroundings you live in.
Sustainability
All our products, processes and practices are planet-friendly and sustainable to the best possible extent.
Inclusivity
For us, everyone is unique. We design our products, processes and policies with inclusion and diversity in mind. It shows up in the way we treat our employees, customers, and partners.
Founder
Shubham Tyagi
Shubham Tyagi, who is one of the two founders, is an alumni of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad & Delhi college of engineering. He has spent around 5 years working as a strategy consultant with UHG & PwC Strategy.
While working as a healthcare consultant in the US market he observed that in the west yoga & active lifestyle has been adopted really well and there lies a huge deficit of the same in the Indian market as in India brands portray yoga & other forms of movement based activities as only physical exercise & not as an active lifestyle.
So being a fitness enthusiast himself he thought of bringing the movement form of yoga & active lifestyle to the fore, which led to the foundation of Core Asana.
How Core Asana Promotes Sustainability
- Responsible sourcing of raw materials from regenerative forests, maximum use of plant-based fibers or extracts.
- Natural rubber, organic cotton and linen, cork, and natural dyes are some of the materials that we use.
- Biodegradability of product and packaging are among a few practices that we adhere to. Our packaging is plastic free and made out of recycled paper.
- We produce ethically in small batches and don’t employ sweatshops.
- Our products are built to last much longer than the cheaper alternatives found in the market. As a result, we discourage mindless consumption.
- We are transparent about listing our materials and processes.
KHSM
India’s first Nature born, 100% Biodegradable Activewear
Polyester and Nylon — these and other synthetic fibers are ruling the active-wear segment of fashion. We took an initiative to change that. Why?
For The Environment
Polyester is made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the most common type of plastic in the world. In short, the majority of our clothes come from crude oil, a fossil fuel that is extremely harmful to the environment.
Polyester alone accounts for approximately 60 percent of global production of PET – roughly twice the amount used in plastic bottles.
Even recycled polyester leaves a significant ecological footprint. We strongly believe that natural fibers are the future of slow fashion.
For the body
Synthetic fibers are not only bad for the environment, they aren’t doing any good to our body either. Synthetic fibers are created through chemical processes, and these chemicals are not the best companion for your skin.
Clothing made of polyester and nylon do not allow our bodies to breathe, which can cause bad odors and skin infections.
What’s The Alternative? We Bring It!
KSHM active-wear is made by blending Tencel lyocell and modal fibers and organic cotton.
We worked with Lenzing Official India to get the certification & to launch a perfect collection in terms of style and functionality.
Derived from renewable wood sources,TENCEL branded lyocell and modal fibers are produced by environmentally responsible production processes. TENCEL is a wood pulp fiber obtained from Eucalyptus tree extracts that are farmed responsibly in regenerative forests.
Produced in a closed-loop process, it uses less water than both conventional synthetics and cotton. More than 99 percent of the water and solvents used in the process are recycled and continuously reused.
Tencel
A Great Alternative To Synthetic Fibers
Soft as silk and strong as polyester, TENCEL is a highly versatile fabric. Its highly breathable structure improves physical activity performance by keeping you pleasantly ‘cool’ and dry, while the four-way stretch fabric allows complete range of motion.
TENCEL has antibacterial properties and is therefore almost odorless. Its natural fiber surface feels super soft to the touch and makes it ideal for sensitive skin and allergy sufferers. This makes TENCEL well suited for sporting activities as well as general athleisure wear.
We Didn’t Stop There — Bringing The Style Element
Nobody buys clothes if they don’t look good no matter how sustainable and functional they are. We were aware of this, therefore we made certain that our clothing is modern and fashionable in order to make you stand out of the crowd.
